    I'm 74 years old and broke my femur in mid-November 2011. I began using the Exogen 4000 Bone Healing System almost immediately in addition to taking a daily 20mg injection of Forteo. My doctor has been highly impressed with the faster than normal healing of my femur. I've gone from using a wheelchair, walker and cane to being on my own once again. I cannot underestimate the importance of my twice a week physical workout consisting of walking and some leg lefts. It's great to be mobile once again.....driving, walking and leading a normal active life style.

    I have been fascinated by this system as I have got a non-union 5th metatarsal 'Jones' fracture and I would like to know if it would work on this?

    It has been 11 weeks so far and I am now awaiting a CT scan as it is not healing. Please can you let me know if I can get this on the NHS or if not what are the costs to get a device?
